Butterfly on Dandelion

6" x 8" oil on canvas panel  butterfly on a yellow dandelion. This was originally on a blue back round with a bowl and a lemon. It got to be too much,so I scraped off everything except the butterfly and simplified the back round -making it a little fuzzy so the focal point would be more on the butterfly.

Maddie

Another artist Molly Brose in the Artist's magazine wrote about using Yupo paper with watercolor,so I tried it..it is quite fun once you get used to it..you can literally wipe off paint and it doesn't buckle! How great is that?..But..still ..you wipe paint off...sometimes it does't stay...so you have to play with it...I added a glaze and black china markers..so this is "Maddie" a friend's doggie..watercolor ,china marker on Yupo paper.
