Inspired by fellow artist Karen Margulis,I'm working on more and more value sketches for my paintings. It's really fun,and it does help with sorting out the values before a painting. The first one is done with Prismacolor markers in Cool Grey-20% 40% and 70%. Karen in her blog suggests the Warm Greys, but I'm missing the 70% in those. You can use TomBow too if you like. The second photo is a value sketch done with a mix of Terra Rosa and Cobalt Blue (watermixable) oils.Saturday, March 30, 2013
